Saturday June, 2010
It is Saturday in late June and we delivered 110 baggies, mens hats, mens t-shirts, shorts,
pants, womens hygiene, 100 bottles of water, on 8th, 9th ave, by Madison Jail, between Jefferson
and Van Buren streets in Phoenix. We distributed alot around the Cass street Homeless Shelter,
we got of the car there to give to men lying down and in wheel chairs.
I prayed with D-Arrow the salvation prayer, not sure if he already had done that, he said he
knew Jesus and quoted some scripture. Whoopee. ![]()
Then we went to Margaret park on 3rd ave, and distributed more baggies and water. The Park Ranger in
a SUV follow us on the grass, I thought that was odd. Finally he pulled up right next to us on
the grass far side of park and said I could finish giving homeless water and baggies, but do not come back.
I asked him why, he said it is dangerous, I said I prayed for protection from God. He said, you should go
to Cass street shelter and pass out stuff. I told him I already had. Then he said, OK what I am saying
is I do not want you to distribute water or anything in this park, we want the homeless to go to the
Cass shelter. I said OK.
But in my heart I do obey the laws, but I can’t see letting the homeless in the park have water is a violation
of anything. I think they just don’t want them in that park. But the reason they go there is they can sleep
and it is less dangerous for them.
